I ordered a Zojirushi inner pan for my old rice cooker. Amazon showed it available but didn't accurately identify the seller. If I had known about Smallappliance.com (Oceanside, NY) before ordering from Amazon, I would have gotten the identical pan for $18 less than at Amazon, had it delivered by the same seller, in the same amount of time. I would encourage more people to purchase directly from Smallappliance.com for any of their older appliances that need original manufacturer replacement parts.

Fraudulent practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ordered a replacement blade for my Cuisinart Chopper over the phone and provided my mailing address along with my email and never received a shipping confirmation. 3 weeks later I contacted Maria who had taken my order and told her I had not received a shipping confirmation.

She claimed that she emailed the confirmation and that the item had been shipped. I requested the tracking number and noticed that the item was in transit back to the store. I reached out to Maria who said that I did not give her my apartment number and that she would contact the post office to add my apartment number. Two weeks went by so I called Maria again who told me the package had been returned and that she would reship my item.

Another two weeks went by, I emailed the company and did not receive a reply. I called Maria to ask what was going on and she said that a refund has been issued and that there would be an additional fee to ship my item because I provided an incomplete address. I told her I had provided my full address and that it was not my fault if she did not write it correctly, she was extremely rude and condescending, she told me to order from another company and hung up on me. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this second-rate company.

UPDATE: BUYER BEWARE! Small Appliance conducts fraudulent practices. Maria from customer service told me that a refund was processed for the item I never received. I checked with my credit card and Maria did not issue the full refund.

I am reporting the company to Visa and the Better Business Bureau.

Not only did Maria give me the runaround for nearly 2 months but flat out lied to me multiple times. By the looks of all the reviews I read I'm not the only one who has been scammed.

Worst Customer service and company, we have ever dealt with! Do NOT give them the time of day.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Ordered two parts for an appliance...site stated they were available. Paid extra to expedite the order... Called almost a week later, very disrespectful customer service gal said out of stock. Supervisor named Renata, also extremely rude! As in other complaints about this company...DO NOT ORDER from them... they are scammers, unprofessional and in need of serious direction on how to run a business. They stated they had to order and would take two weeks...I would have ordered elsewhere had we known there would be a delay. Site said they were in stock. Women argued with us and acted as if they had no training of any kind

Never again for smallappliance.com

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a filter holder for my Krupp’s expresso maker from smallappliance.com. When I used it for the first time there was a chemical odor that made the coffee inedible. I tried washing it using many methods to no avail. The company would not replace it without me paying to return it for their techs to assess. They told me they never received the return, blaming me first. Then when I gave them USPS proof of delivery, they blamed the post office. So now I am out the cost of the item plus delivery and the cost of the return. This business does not stand by their product and has the very worst rude and lying customer service ever. Stay away!

Buyer Beware!!! Don't buy from SmallAppliance.com

I wish I had checked this site before purchasing a replacement part from SmallAppliance.com. I ordered an insert for a slow cooker as a gift for someone else. When I received the insert, it was damaged. I contacted the customer service dept and they asked me to send a photo of the damage and I promptly supplied them with a photo. Then they wanted me to provide some product serial # info for the slow cooker---in which I don't own since I purchased the replacement part as a gift for someone else. I am simply trying to exchange the damaged insert for a new one at this point but they are being very difficult to deal with. At this point, I am going to ask for a full refund. Quite ridiculous that they ship me a damaged product and then make it very difficult to resolve the issue.

Kitchenaid 5 speed mixer replacement beaters

SmallAppliance - Kitchenaid 5 speed mixer replacement beaters
The beaters were ordered on 11/28/13 delivered on 12/10/13 the third time in use in late Jauary 2014 beating cookie dough, the beater tines came out of the stem. I wrote smallapplicance.com sent a pic of the broken beater, on Febrary 6, 14 I received a reply from a Mr. Ali, to call him on the telephone. In my correspondence I requested a replacement beater. A telephone discussion is not going to get me a replacement beater, when an email response would have been sufficient. Thus far I have found that SmallApplicance.com has a ripoff report complaint, which I failed to check out first. I have thus found replacement part companies that claim to sell genuine Kitchen Aid replacement parts.

OK so i looked up the portable mixers and from what i can tell you can not make things like cookie dough or bread dough you might burn out your motor. You see i have the stand mixer and it can handle alot more. With the portable you can only use that for soft things like cake mix or homemade, mashed potatoes, whipped cream, eggs, frosting, pancake batter things like that. But you can still buy stronger beaters but i would not make cookie dough with it.

Guest

You have to buy them.Looking at that beater even i could tell it would not be strong enough for cookie dough. That beater is only made for liquids like eggs or whipped cream. This is all stated in your book. You can go to the kitchen aid website and see all the different beaters and attachments they have for sale. They even have speical beaters for brownies.Once you learn how to use your kichen aid correctly it is so easy and worth it.Take some time and educate yourself about your kitchen aid.Once you do that you will be amazed at what it can do.I even grind and make homemade saugage on mine and it is wonderful. You can also make ice cream. You can make pasta. All it takes is a little time to learn all about it and what attachments to be used for whatever you are doing. Even the portable one has attachments you can buy.

There were NO dough Hook beaters that came with this portable mixer!

Guest

I have a kitchen aid and love it! You should not have used the regular beaters for cookie dough. You should have used a dough hook.If you use the new beater like this it will break also. You have to use the correct beaters for the task you are doing. This is in your book that came with your kitchen aid...maybe you should read it.

Smallappliance.com sucks

Smallappliance.com took my order three weeks before christmas and never notified me that the items were not in stock. Xmas came and went with no product delivered. Emailed customer "service". No response after a week. Finally called. Waited on hold for a long time. Finally spoke to a person who said item was not in stock and the dont notify the customer when the item runs out after they sell it. So they are basically selling products they dont have amd not telling the customer. Terrible service. No excuse gor not responding to emails about the problem. Never will shop there again.

Used Cuisinart bowl. Yuck.

I ordered a bowl for my Cuisinart Pro Custom 11 through Amazon, from Small Appliance in Oceanside, NY. The one they sent was obviously a return; it was covered in greasy fingerprints, there was an oily ring on the bottom where the bowl sits on the base and there were dried food particles clinging to the interior. In spite of the yuck factor, I washed it and kept it because I didn't want to pay for return shipping or wait to have another one sent from a different store. Needless to say, I will never order from this business again.

Avoid this company, they don't keep like individual consumers

I would not do business with this company. I purchased a product online and they only shipped part of the order. Dealing with their customer service was a nightmare at best. They are a large shop that does not care about the individual consumer, just their business accounts. If you have an issue with them I recommend contacting the Better Business Bureau at www.newyork.bbb.org . The company does business as both SmallAppliance.com and Turnpike Appliance Service Center. Check out other complaint websites and you'll notice a similiar theme as many individuals have had issues with them.

Smallappliance.com Beware!

I made the unfortunate choice of ordering parts for my CUISINART from this company. The parts, though looked to be correct on their website did not fit my machine. Unlike other companies, they neither supply return labels, nor pay for shipping. My order totaled $60.98, they deducted $7.99 for shipping, $3.00 for handling, cost me a trip to the Post Office, and $7.80 in shipping charges. For a cost of $18.79, I have nothing other than aggravation and inconvenience. I made the unfortunate choice of ordering parts for my CUISINART from this company.
